RE: New workspaces require readonly role.
Hi,
It has been published on June 25th and fully deployed now:
https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/announcing-the-new-viewer-role-for-power-bi-workspaces/
Description of new roles and accesses:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-new-workspaces#roles-in-the-new-workspaces
Kind regards
RE: New workspaces require readonly role.
It says there https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-new-workspaces
"The forthcoming Viewer Role will enable this scenario in future in new workspace experience workspaces."
It would be good to know approximately when?
RE: New workspaces require readonly role.
Any updates on when this feature will be launched?
RE: New workspaces require readonly role.
Also allow them to pin visuals to dashboards that they have read only access to. That way they can monitor data they deem pertinent, but not have the ability to edit the report or workspace.
RE: New workspaces require readonly role.
In the following article they mention a forth coming "Viewer" role. Does anyone know when this will be available?

RE: New workspaces require readonly role.
I agree. I don't want to give users access to publish to a workspace because they may change the metadata but I do want to give them access to update the visuals in the report on that workspace and allow them to update the app.
