We have an saas based electronic billing application used by over 800 companies. We place report data files out on SFTP sites for each client. Is it possible to access data files on SFTP sites from Power BI?

FTP-servers are still used for exchanging data between different companies and/or locations.Therefore connecting PowerBI to (S)FTP servers directly would be a really handy feature.

We really need a solution for this. Being able to connect to a sFTP-server to retrieve files should not be this difficult. I wonder if there is another reason for not implementing the feature..

Come on, please add this! This seems pretty basic and it would be very helpful for a number of use cases. Not having functionality like this is driving us away from longer-term use of this BI solution.
