Thanks, we are currently looking at supporting this, no timelines yet though.

This would be so helpful when working with large models. Renaming tables should be the last resort, really. And the arbitrary sort order of the alphabet is probably the most unsuitable one.

Folders would be great, or the ability to drag and drop tables to change the order in which they appear.

I support this idea. I am in a situation where I am managing a power bi dataset that includes data from multiple data sources in attempt to streamline my workflow. I can only do so much with standardizing the table naming convention and it would make it easier if I can group the tables in their own display folders, similar to a measure table.

We need this functionality! :) I'm tired of naming all my tables DIM_ and FACT_

RE: Support Display Folders for Table Objects

I would love this feature as well. I would like to have Display folders for the tables and not just the fields that belong to a table (that is available now). This is much needed to group tables together in a folder the same way fields can be grouped together in a folder. Large data models with numerous tables from numerous data source can get confusing. It would be great to group the tables that belong to each data sources together. Let's add this ASAP. :-)

Add to this with the recent feature of connecting to multiple datasets. If each dataset was under its own folder then it would help with manageability so much more.

I think would be really useful in the fields list and model view

This indeed would be very helpful - if we could nest our tables on the Fields pane. it would make things much easier for dashboards with large numbers of tables.

RE: Support Display Folders for Table Objects

This is necessary for complicated data models with many tables.
