I can copy the visual either as image or data table and paste it in other applications.

March 2022 Update: We are looking into this

We recently released the ability to export data from tiles and visuals to a CSV file. This may work for y'all as a workaround until we add the ability to directly copy and paste the visual or data. You can read more about it here: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/powerbi/archive/2016/01/06/power-bi-service-update-0106.aspx#exportTile. Be sure to let us know what you think about the feature!

I too need this functionality, If we are supposed to use Power BI to replace existing functionality I agree this a real missing piece of functionality.
When will it be available?

Come on Microsoft, we pay a fortune for your software. You cant just file everything as a known issue. This is a fundamental function that everyone needs so an answer on when this will be available would be much appreciated.

Can you please provide this basic function. It is always the first question, if it is possible to copy the data behind a visual, to do additional calculations in Excel.
Thanks in advance!

Please prioritize this development. This is indeed a real buzzkill from a user experience point of view. Even as a developer this is a pretty big miss.

Is it possible to provide us with a statusupdate?

Related, it would be very nice to be able to copy (and search / filter) in the "data view".

We in Credit really need the ability to copy & paste information from Power BI into another screen. It saves us so much time in being able to do this so can you please arrange for this to happen

Here's a question I hear every now and then:

"Can't you just make this report in Excel for me so I that can copy the item number?"

So this idea was shared in 2014 and put "under review". In 2016 it was changed to "planned". And now we're in 2018 without any status updates...?

More than 2 years since the last update on a key functionality. More and more people in my organisation are starting to complain. It's a real productivity killer.

RE: Copy/paste the data behind the visual in Power BI to other applications

It is always the first questions in my Power BI trainings - if it is possible to copy/paste the underlying data into Excel? So now it is only possible to see them in a table (show data), which is very cool, but it would be great to copy them from this table directly to Excel to do further calculations. CSV export doesn't work very properly with SSAS live connections.
