Thanks, we are currently looking at supporting this, no timelines yet though.

RE: Support Display Folders for Table Objects
I agree with the need for this, I have a large model merging 3 functional areas, with some common overlapping Dimensions and yet several others unique to the specific area. This improvement would help Users enormously in avoiding confusion
RE: Support Display Folders for Table Objects
I think putting tables into folders is very important for organisation reasons, it becomes quite a mess of tables once the report has more than a handful of sources - and very often it would be useful and logical to group related tables togetherHaving all the tables in one long alphabetical list seems very limited and silly
RE: Support Display Folders for Table Objects
And now with field parameter tables, it would be very nice to group them into a single folder.
RE: Support Display Folders for Table Objects
For Large model utilization by the final user (data consumer), we would really need the ability to sort and group tables into folders
RE: Support Display Folders for Table Objects
I wounder why this feature is not there yet. This feature is a necessity. Also instead of making us putting measure into a fake table, it would useful to make a separate section in the fields panel for measures.
RE: Support Display Folders for Table Objects
This was marked as "Under Review" a year ago, any update on when it will be available?
RE: Support Display Folders for Table Objects
We require this feature for use in (large) SSAS tabular models which are directly consumed bij end users in Excel. Models can consist of many separate dimension objects which we would like to combine in specific folders and subfolders to presen to end-users.
RE: Support Display Folders for Table Objects
Any update on creating folders to arrange tables?
RE: Support Display Folders for Table Objects
This is a very basic requirement and available in all other BI Tools. Power BI being a leader in the market, should try to fix this as soon as possible. Hope they will work on it.
RE: Support Display Folders for Table Objects
We already can group measures into a folder and the fields within a table into a folder. We need a way to group tables into a folder and this should not be that difficult to achieve. We need this especially while building out large data models so that we can better organize our tables into folders without which it is difficult for report developers/data model consumers to wrap their head around the data model.Currently we are using Power BI Embedded (Embed for your customers) as a part of our application and we expose our data model to our customers so that they can build their own reports on top of our data model. As we keep extending our data model it is getting difficult to organize our tables and our customers get thrown-off when they see hundreds of tables and are finding it difficult to use it for building their reports. We definitely need to be able to create folder structures for tables as well, because workarounds like renaming tables for grouping/sorting them is not so neat.
