Increase number of connections
It has been observed that - Run report from PBI web (PBIRS server --> SSAS server --> TD) – we see 4 connections - Run same report from PBI desktop (PBI desktop --> SSAS server --> TD) – we see 16 connections Please look into increasing the number of connections

Introduce parallelism in Formula Engine (on-prem version)
Multiple DAX queries run in parallel, but each DAX query can only send one DirectQuery at a time. There is no way to change this behavior given it is the current design for DirectQuery (in the Formula Engine). Please introduce parallelism in the Formula Engine.
