Currently the new Key Vault reference feature only allows to use a KV with public access from all networks. However most customers cannot have Key Vaults open to public which makes this feature unusable at the moment. Could you extend this to work with network-restricted Key Vaults?

As stated in the document below, the ViewReport event is logged even when an email is sent via the subscription service. Title : Monitor usage metrics in the workspaces (preview) - Considerations and limitations URL : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-modern-usage-metrics#considerations-and-limitations Due to this default behavior, the view count increases even if the report has not actually been opened, but only the email has been received.I would like to request the implementation of a feature that only counts the number of times the report has actually been opened.

I can't see the column names and cell values in some of the columns in my tables in SQL Analytics Endpoint because the column width is too narrow.
Also, the tooltip also doesn't show the entire cell contents when hovering over a cell.
Please make it possible to see the entire contents of a cell in the SQL Analytics Endpoint user interface.

At this time, the “sort by multiple columns” feature is not available in the matrix visual, and we would like to see it made available.

I was working on a report in Power BI Desktop and encountered this issue. I wanted to turn off the default cross highlighting/filtering in the report. I went to File -> Options and Settings -> Options. Under Current File -> Query reduction, I turned on 'Disabling cross highlighting/filtering by default'. However, it does not work as expected. Also, when I saved, closed the file, and opened it again, the same option was turned off.

I'd like to see Power BI read and populate metadata from database source tables/columns and populate the description field in the power bi semantic model for those same tables and columns. Instead what I have to do now is maintain that metadata in two different locations (Eg maintaining table/coulmn description in Snowflake) and maintain that same metadata in my power bi semantic model. thanks for consideration. Considering the most powerful and versatile machines are being built on ARM processors and many developers preferring these machines due to the extended battery life, or performance per watt, I think it would be critical for Microsoft to start developing Power BI Desktop to be fully compatible with ARM64 processors. Windows ARM with a snapdragon processor is a great machine. It is where all machines are going. It's time for Power BI Desktop to get up to speed with everything else.

Hi team, Greetings!! We had a request to disable Microsoft Fabric trial licenses for all users within our organization. We've noticed that the availability of these trial licenses can lead to unregulated usage and potential governance issues. To ensure better control and compliance, we believe it's necessary to restrict access to these trial licenses. Although we have manually disabled this feature in the Power BI tenant settings, we would like to know if there is a way to permanently disable any new free trial features from Microsoft before rolling out as a default setting. This would allow us to verify any security checks before rolling them out to users. We got to know a Self Service option in the M365 admin portal but couldn't locate a specific option for trials. So, it would be great if this feature is added to upcoming versions due to the reason aforementioned. Thank you

The current card visual forces users to overlap elements or waste copious amounts of time creating custom visuals. The new card feature should give users the ability to create multiple cards in a single container and provide a greater level of customization.

It would be beneficial to incorporate features from Pivot tables that allow for the expansion and collapse of columns and hierarchical column groups within tabular visuals. This would not only solve the current limitations of matrices but also provide report creators with the flexibility to hide and show rows and columns, saving these settings for future use, thus eliminating the need to scroll through irrelevant data.

Enabling customized calculations at the query level for subtotals and grand totals would offer greater flexibility in reporting and preserve performance. Efficient organization of control settings to modify the style of these totals separately will empower report creators to achieve their desired appearance, while addressing their need for more control and customization in reporting.

Imagine a world where report creators can automatically apply slicer and filter selections based on specific logic, revolutionizing data analysis and user experience. This innovative approach eliminates any need for complex workarounds, optimizes slicer functionality, and paves the way for more efficient and effective data reporting.

Interpreting visuals without a clear legend to indicate logic behind specific styles can lead to confusion and decision-making errors. An idea to enhance clarity and transparency by ensuring legends and tooltips accurately display colors, patterns, and other visual components influenced by logics, would enable report consumers to easily understand the applied logic and make more effective decisions.

Currently, Power BI Desktop does not provide any built-in mechanism to log or audit user sign-ins. This creates a visibility gap for organizations that need to: Monitor license usage . Track who is accessing Power BI Desktop and when. Audit user behavior for security and governance purposes. While Power BI Service and Microsoft 365 offer audit logs, these do not cover local Power BI Desktop usage. We would like to request the addition of a feature in Power BI Desktop that allows administrators to track user sign-in activity, especially for users with Power BI Pro or Premium licenses.

As already reported and discussed here: https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Data-Engineering/Some-methods-in-notebooks-do-not-work-when-executed-from-Data, and based on the feedback from Microsoft support that this is a known issue and that an Idea should be opened for this - I suggest this issue is further analyzed and a fix or workaround is suggested. Reference support case I opened (and also more people opened the support case with the same issue): 2504161420001430

The primary axis are outdated and require significant improvement when compared to Excel. This makes it difficult for report creators and often leads to problems when trying to manage and style them effectively. By offering more format settings, greater control over displayed data can be provided, especially if axis ticks, new gridlines, and separators are also included.

Basically, we should be able to edit the final output (data destination) columns directly in the Dataflow Gen2, without needing to go to the Warehouse itself to add the new columns (using T-SQL).
This should be possible to do in the Dataflow user interface both for the Append and Replace options.
The settings in the dataflow outputs should be applied to the destination (Lakehouse, Warehouse) without needing to go into the Warehouse or Lakehouse to add the columns.
This should work regardless of writing to a New or Existing table.
This should just work.
We should be able to choose which columns to write to the destination, and add more columns to an existing table, directly in the Dataflow user interface, without having to go to the Lakehouse or Warehouse to make any changes.
