Matrix - color for different subtotal levels
It is really useful if we have the option to have different colors for different subtotal levels of a matrix

Color by colums in matrix
When creating a matrix you have the option to color each filed with a different color, but you can not have different colors for different columns. This would be specially important when each column is a different year, because it keeps the consistency if you have data represented in both a matrix and a chart.

Enable different levels of row headers in a matrix to be colored differently
It would be helpful for making clearer visuals to color different row headers differently when multiple ones are active at the same time. So for example, if I'm showing the financials for multiple projects in a matrix organized by three rows, State, Year, and Project Lead, and I've drilled down to show the data for each project lead within each year, and each year within each state, I would like all rows summarizing a State to have one color, all rows summarizing a year within that state to have a different color, and all rows summarizing a Project Lead within a year to have a third color. Conditional formatting and DAX make this doable for the fields that show the values, but the part of the matrix that shows the row headers cannot be recolored using conditional formatting. Making that possible, or allowing different colors to be selected for different Row fields, would greatly improve the appearance of matrices.

cell colour formatting matrix
Ability to colour individual cells in a matrix I need a matrix with static colours in individual blocks. I have even tried overlaying my matrix over an image but it doesn't seem to work - the background blocks it. The ability to optionally colour individual cells will mean that the numbers/count can change as we get more information and the cell colours can help show where in the grid they are.

Alternating colors on rows in tables and matrix
We need a way to alternate colors of rows in tables and matrix. If you have a wide table with many rows, reading that data left to right can be a challenge. With alternating colors it helps track the row you are looking at. Think greenbar paper (if your old enough to know what greenbar is).

You can do this quickly using table and matrix styles or do it manually in the Values pivot. Both of these are in the formatting pane!

Color Saturation/Filter for Matrix
Allow users to add a color dimension to data in a matrix and define the color logic manually or based on another field's input. Tableau has this capability...

Add color Field to the Matrix Visual
Adding a color field to the Matrix Visual would go a long way in giving people the freedom they want to format their matrices. It could work exactly like it does in the mapping visuals where the user specifies which column they want to govern the color categories, and then they can specify the colors on the format tab. This would also solve the issue of people wanting to color their matrices by text data.

Change MouseOver Color on Tables-Matrix
Dears: With the recent montly updates, you can modify most of the parameters on a table or matrix. Even conditional formatting has been added sucessfully. This idea is to try to go one step forward. Up to now, when you place the cursor over a cell on table/matrix, the color for highlighting is dark grey, now way to change it. I would like to have the possibility to change this, turning from grey to any other color. This behaviour is known in databases as "MouseOver". make groups different colors
Allow users to assign different colors to groups when graphing. Currently the only visual distinction between groups is color saturation, which does not provide enough differentiation.

Cell and font colors need to be exported to excel from table/matrix
Many of our visuals use color to represent data. When the data is exported to Excel from a table/matrix, some font data is exported, however colors are not.
