Given it may not be feasible to support all possible font variations through mobile and exported visual, would it be possible to define the "fall-back" font where the preferred font is not available.
Currently the default is Times New Roman (or an equivalent), which is probably the least suitable choice for most users who work for an organisation concerned enough by appearances to create their own visual standards.
If we could decide to set this to Segoe UI or Arial that would be a closer match and would allow us to use the preferred font where possible while not losing the functionality which does not support custom fonts.
