It would be great if you could select multiple columns in the data view e.g. the hide multiple columns from the report view in one operation.

RE: Allow selecting multiple columns in the data view

this is the biggest issue I have with PowerBi. Wastes my time with formatting single columns, ie changing columsn to currency, etc etc

RE: Allow selecting multiple columns in the data view

I found this thread while searching for a method to change the default field summary from sum to average for 60 fields. This lack of functionality means my company will now be paying me to make countless, tedious and repetitive mouse clicks instead of what they actually hired me to do.

RE: Allow selecting multiple columns in the data view

A joke I have to select one at a time, just like Microsoft to make a half assed tool that they will cancel in 2 years like everything else phone, ATL, apis. They killed odata with no datetime field mysq doesn't have a timezone -- retartds

So sad!

And on top of it it moves you back and reset view.

RE: Allow selecting multiple columns in the data view

As with everyone else, have multiple columns that I have to format as a %, but can only do 1 at a time, not good enough for such an advanced tool to lack such a basic function

This is an absolute must. I have tables with 100 plus columns that I have to do one at a time

This is needed. My use case is to change the format of 30 date columns. I have to do this individually now. Very frustrating - especially early in a project when you aren't sure the format you want.

What would also help me is a global default format for dates and financials and counts.

RE: Allow selecting multiple columns in the data view

It would also help in changing the formatting of multiple columns at the same time. Imagine you have 10 DateTime columns and want to select a format for them. You have to select them one by one and change the display format, which is a pain.
