we do see various refresh failures in a day, some throttled, some cancelled by pbi service, some taking very long time and timing out, some failing with genuine credential issues
in most of those cases it is hard to figure out at what point the failure happened(capacity/gateway/datasource itself)
since we have three components involved in most of the scenarios
-> premium capacity
-> gateway
-> datasource
we would like to see time breakdown and logs associated with each refresh on every stage.. so that it is clear to us on whats causing failures and delays..
right now the powerbi is a blackbox which is not good for admins to help users.. everytime we have to knock microsoft door with no useful information in most of the cases, wasting time of both teams
