In current ver.(Dec 2017), scatter plot can play only by year for date, but I want to play by year-month / year-quater, to compare to same term of previous year.
The problem is time intelligence functions(DAX), it works only in date hierarchical aggregation, so self created play axis not works (causes errors).
This feature is available in Tableau, and very useful for many situations, so please implement asap.

I just discovered this challenge, myself.
In the meantime, I recommend using using bookmarks to demonstrate a play-like sequence until such a feature becomes available.
