Renaming measures through external tools 'supported' by Microsoft like Tabular Editor, break all visuals that used the measure. This makes bulk editing measure names through external tools useless. You're better of renaming measures one by one in power BI desktop, even though that is also terribly time consuming. Real world models have tons of measures.
solution:
measures should not be uniquely identified by their 'measure name' but by a computer generated 'measure GUID'. The 'measure GUID' should never change, making it possible to rename 'measure names' without any problems. I believe this implies an update of the Tabular Object Model and all tools referencing TOM's.
