It would be useful (and very cool) to incorporate a time element to the Sankey Diagram. Having the option to use the x-axis to represent the time to flow between nodes would add additional information within the existing space. As a shorter-term option, having a 'tooltip' drag and drop option to bring in additional descriptors, such as time, would be very useful.
