I have volumes of information to share with my teams that is best presented in tables and matrices. It would be a huge improvement if they were able to export the data from the visualizations and have the formatting in Excel match the formatting created within PowerBI.
This would be especially helpful for ongoing forecasting activities.

Very much required for reporting in other programs like Excel and PPT. Our customers/end-users are not going to be Power BI users. Content needs to be able to be delivered in other mediums. Having the exact format from BI to Excel is essential

PowerBi is powerful to sort and to organize a huge amount of the data in a nice table, but it's really a pity not to allow the export into excel by keeping its format.

This is really critical, the data becomes unusable when the matrix is lost. Business users do not only want to see the report online, they want a hard, printable copy!

Seriously ! why would one use power BI if they have to do re-work of creating a pivot in excel AGAIN ...

The Matrix View in the Power BI interface is lacking many features that are available in Excel Pivot Tables.(Eg: Repeat data in all rows etc...). Users are unable to use Matrix View data for any further joining and linking to other data sets or tables since they cannot export the data to excel. Oracle BI is already having this feature with full fledged Pivot Table functionality. We hope Microsoft will implement this modification soon!

This is how Performance Point scorecards worked and it was great. Exporting data formatted, with summarized subtotals and grand totals is a must have!
