I have volumes of information to share with my teams that is best presented in tables and matrices. It would be a huge improvement if they were able to export the data from the visualizations and have the formatting in Excel match the formatting created within PowerBI.

This would be especially helpful for ongoing forecasting activities.

RE: Allow Table and Matrix Data Exports to Match PowerBI Visual

We have many reports that have matrix visual and users want to export the data in same format.
We are moving from Tableau to Power BI and this feature is working in Tableau. This feature is really required for to complete the migration.

Can you please provide a timeline for this? Ability to take the data in the same visual form is very important.

Add this feature as soon as you can.
It will save a lot of time when exporting matrix table to Excel.

Planned for release wave 2 2021? That suggests after September 2021. My Group Controller wants to implement QlikSense over Power BI solely due to this missing feature...

What is the typical timeline for features of this size to go from "feature request in our backlog" to being released?

FINALLY! This has been such a pain. And there are so many use cases:

1) To copy visuals to Excel get them ready for a PowerPoint. Maybe I want to delete a column or some rows. Or maybe change the formatting to better highlight the point I need for my presentation.

2) To do some quick ad-hoc calculations or analysis in Excel. Maybe subtracting some numbers from each other, etc. Trying to do this with Measures is close to impossible.

I can't wait for this to finally be released!

Dear Admin.. Any confirmation on the date ??
Please make it urgent, Other small tools have this feature by default and surprising to see MS taking soo long for this basic mandatory feature

Agree with the other comments - this feature has readily been available in competing products like Tableau. Migrating & assimilating users from one BI platform to another is challenging; but it's embarrassing when they are asked to perform MORE tasks simply to get the data to look similar to the matrix visual they want exported.
Please fast track the release of this feature. Thank you in advance!

RE: Allow Table and Matrix Data Exports to Match PowerBI Visual

I have to think that the ability to transform data, format it for end users and give them the ability to easily export it to Excel (another Microsoft product) is in the top 3, or maybe 5 use case scenarios.

It's unbelievable that this feature doesn't exist.

No, under no circumstances, will the paginated report visual suffice (May 2021 release). Not even close.
