we are using firebird 2.5 and using ODBC have no problems connecting

i have the same problem comment by Anonynous at January 21, 2016 about Firebird db under PowerBI

The index was out of matrix boundaries

This has been fixed in the latest update. Using Desktop app and firebird ODBC you can successfully connect to firebird database.
