Having looked and questioned GIAC there is no backup and restore capability for Synapse Datawarehouse in Fabric.
This is a must have to be able to move our SQL dedicated pools in Synapse to Fabric.
Backups and restores are required under our Disaster and Recovery policies so without this capability we will struggle to be able to move to Fabric.
Also as Lakehouses are part of the elt solution we also need backup and restore capability on Lakehouses.
Please add this capability in GA so we can look to move to Fabric and start taking advantage of the new enhancements.

The ability to restore is part of our roadmap and we are working towards it. It is expected to land soon.
Could you please elaborate on how would you like your backup and recovery to look like?
