Date Slider Formatting - Date Selection Box Location

Current implementation of the date slider is useful, but clunky, visually awkward, and extremely wasteful of space.

If side-by-side placement was allowed for the dates between input text boxes and the slider itself, we could better utilize report space without wedging components into the leftover upper right corner space. This would allow for wide date sliders for fine selection via the slider without requiring twice the height of the slider itself for text entry.
