I should be able to order the "legend" and the values for each legend category in a stacked bar chart. This is similar to "series order" feature in Excel

RE: Custom order for legend

Simple chart designs like this need to be added to Power BI.

RE: Custom order for legend

Chart formatting is extremely poor compared to Excel. I acknowledge that responsive design has certain trade-offs, but having more controls would be extremely useful.

RE: Custom order for legend

I have some dirty hacks by suffixing legend items with 00n, for example but this really makes this chart less effective than it should be. I have to use R instead to be able to get this chart quickly given greater control - unfortunate that this has not been addressed.

RE: Custom order for legend

This is already possible using custom sort order right? Example here: https://www.seerinteractive.com/blog/reorder-powerbi-legend/

RE: Custom order for legend

This is very valuable feature. ... it helps readability if certain things are in chronological order. For instance, if we are tracking how many issues are there in todo, in progress, in review or completed.. .. current sort order by highest to lowest value (or count of issues in each category) is not really read-able friendly. rather, i should have an ability to sort in this sequence, todo, in progress, in review, completed.

and not only readability, it will also add a bit of random design. currently everything seems flowing from left to right, if i have some random heights in sequence, it would look better as a pure classical Manhattan graph.

Please add this feature of "Axis Sequence" and list down all legends that user can drag and drop to change order.

thanks.

RE: Custom order for legend

Please fix this asap, and extend to the stacked area chart also. The way it currently displays is totally counter-intuitive - the legend is in the reverse order to the chart!

So many complex features have been rolled out in the 5 years since this was raised, supported by thousands of votes, hundreds of comments. It's hard to believe it is still neglected.
