We only allow certain individuals in our organization (40,000+ employees) to create workspaces. This is to ensure all requests are managed through a central I.T. services catalog and an audit trail is enforced (we are a large multi national regulated organization).
However, it seems that even though we limit workspace creation to a single security group, everybody in the organization can still see the create new workspace button. Of course when regular employees click this button, they receive an error that they do not have permission and to contact their Power BI Admin.
This generates some frustration internally as well as comments in Yammer and service desk incidents being opened.
It would make perfect sense for this create new workspace button to only show up in the UX for people who actually have the permission to create workspaces.
