Filter out future dates in MTD or YTD measures

It would be nice if MTD or YTD calculations could filter out future dates so you don't get monthly MTD values that give all the same totals on every future date of the month for example. (DATESMTD could have an option to not show calculations for future dates).

Now there is a workaround. You can create a column in the date table that will signal TRUE/FALSE if the date should be included and then include this filter in your measures. But that is cumbersome and unnecesary work.
