Please provide option to stop refreshing dataset after refreshing manually...
If there are any performance issues in database this would lock down the table...
I even observed that reports doesnt get published until the refresh is done...

RE: Stop Dataset refresh
I support this feature to be included in PBI services.

RE: Stop Dataset refresh
I had an issue with wifi conection and it's taking now 45 minutes when normally it only takes 15 minutes max.
RE: Stop Dataset refresh
'Additionally, it would seem very very useful to have
- a more general "stop all automatic calculations" option
- an ad-hoc "compute now" buttom
to allow a user to enter the DAX for multuiple new computed measures / columns etc.
The user coud then either signal to the system either :
a) press the "compute now" button
OR
b) change the general setting back to "automatically compute"
etc
RE: Stop Dataset refresh
This would really be a great functionality, because of many reasons. E.g. You can not publish changes to reports when refresh is running in the service, and sometimes the refresh runs with errors due to e.g timeout.
In these cases a simple pause/stop functionality would save alot of time.
RE: Stop Dataset refresh
Would be nice just to have a big button to pause all refreshes in a tenant to make server maintenance easier.
RE: Stop Dataset refresh
OMG, is really needed to refresh previow every single time a small little tweak is done in the model? it would take years to tailor any report.
RE: Stop Dataset refresh
Can't upload a report until refresh finishes - wastes my time... Please add this feature.
RE: Stop Dataset refresh
I am upvoting. My concern may be slightly different, but based on the number of Refresh recommendations, I'm not the only one struggling.
When I use the "Query Editor" to build new data sources or change queries, etc, it can take an hour to get all my data imported properly. When I hit "Close & Apply" to return to the report, it force an entire refresh of the stuff I just refreshed. I could report development a lot faster if I didn't have to do double refreshes all the time. Need option to allow report to use what it already has in the Query Editor so we can get to work.
RE: Stop Dataset refresh
Would also love this feature especially for troubleshooting purpose :(
