Improve Direct Query Date Time Handling

When using direct query you should be able to change a date axis to show only the month. This works using excel or when doing a transform but neither of these are possible using DirectQuery. Even workarounds like FORMAT can't be used with direct query. This really needs fixing!

Import and DirectQuery data connectivity modes should have the same common functionality of Date/Calendar hierarchy. This is so overdue from Power Bi team. Please consider implementing it as soon as possibly can.

I would rank this request from user community above all new futures released monthly.

Direct query to SAP BW needs to recognize BW date fields as date and not as text. That's basic and real pain in the ass, please fix as soon as possible!

It doesn't make any sense that Direct Query and import mode treat the dates differently.

Needs to be implemented the same as Data Import
