Dear Developers,

it would be nice if report users could hide visuals, whether as part of personalisation options or otherwise. Several use cases are conceivable. One that we currently have: we have several sales channels. There are some visuals that all channels need and some others that are needed by only a part of the channels or even just one channel. We have discussed building channel specific reports, but that would increase maintenance and workload for example when we want to change and develop the report further. While channel specific reports may still be doable via bookmarks, it is still quite a bit of work when you have 40+ visuals (and there are tons of ideas for further development that will inflate that number further). And a channel specific report would still have a low degree of personalisation. Being able to hide visuals would have the following benefits:

  • maximum personalisation and utility for salesforce
  • a lot less work than creating channel specific reports via bookmarks
  • least amount of maintenance
  • least amount of workload when developing the report further, not just when creating new visuals but it also eliminates the need to discuss with each channel whether/which of the new visuals are needed
  • empowers salesforce and gives them a degree of autonomy which is always appreciated

I'm sure there are other benefits and other use cases. I hope this makes sense and will be considered. Thank you!

Best regards

Kaveh
