Currently there seems to be no real logging or diagnostics information available from the Enterprise gateway.
Would be helpful levels of diagnostic logging were possible and also performance tracking details of what the gateway is doing

It is already possible to leverage Performance Counters for the Gateway - Please check out this documentation article for details on what's currently available: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-gateway-onprem-tshoot/#performance Feel free to create new ideas for specific asks on top of what's already there.
