The hierarchical visualisations available in Power BI at the moment expect the user to add another column to the filter for each new level of hierarchy they want to see.
The network navigator custom visual takes an input dataset of two columns (source and target node) and builds a diagram based on that. Be great if it could do a hierarchical layout based on this dataset i.e. work out which nodes had no parents and render those first, then render their children etc working through the generations.
Also be useful if the Network Navigator would only filter by the node selected. Currently it filters by Source Nodes. i.e. If you had a Source and Target Node dataset of A->B, A->C, B->D, you would get a diagram with 4 nodes but if you selected node D, it would filter other visualisations by 'B' as the only data row where node D appears has B as Source Node.
