The recent addition of conditional formatting for values is wonderful. However, it would be great to have the ability format subtotals and totals, as the variation on those fields are often even more important to draw attention to.

Thanks everyone for your votes on this feature! With the April 2020 release of Power BI Desktop this is now available! https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-april-2020-feature-summary/#_Conditional_formatting Please keep commenting on this feature with other feedback, we check the Completed items as well as ones that are still active.

It would be nice if this worked for data bars as well. Thank-you.

The correct link to the new idea is:

(Sorry for the wrong link - unfortunately it seems to be impossible to edit comment...)

As Microsoft seems to ignore comments about data bars here, I created a new idea fort this:

Please vote there.

+1 to missing functionality for data bars.

This is not completed! Let's say I have three rows of values, I can't select just one or two to show in subtotals.

Totals and Subtotals Data Bars Conditional Formatting is still not implemented. I don't think this idea's status should be 'COMPLETED' .

Need conditional formatting extended for DATA BARS for subtotals in the matrix. Please change the status of this idea from Completed. this is not completed!!!!!!

Data bars! When?!

Still missing possibility to add formatting for totals using data bars. What is the plan for this???

Remember that this is a 5'186 voted feature, that still isn't implemented and nowadays can't be voted on, and it's marked as completed. I see a big risk that there's no ongoing work to also implement this feature for data bars if this idea is not re-opened. To get some more attention to re-open this idea I also created an explicit request "120061725000539"

Are there any plan to extend conditional formatting for totals to data bars?
