Clicking on a bookmark triggers an event in the API

We are using Power BI Embedded and setting filters to a page via the API. When the bookmark causes the page to change there is an event in the API and we can re-apply the filters. However, if the bookmark applies changes to the same page no event is triggered and the filters applied to the bookmark are applied and we can not re-apply the API filters. We need clicking on the bookmark to trigger an event in the API so that we can re-apply the filters. Without this, we are not able to use bookmarks that apply changes to a page.
