I think Apps could be great as it leaves the app workspace more for the report developers and collaboration between them while the end users don't see any changes until the App is published or updated. However, there is one BIG problem with the current way Apps are set up. It publishes read-only copies of the select reports and dashboards (good), but it also publishes the dataset (BAD). So, the problem is any end user could open that in Excel and start making their own reports and then we no longer have one source of the truth that everyone is looking at.
So, please make it so that the dataset doesn't get published to the app or so that end users can't download it, hence apps supposed to be READ-ONLY!
