What about adding input fields to the dashboard widgets. Kind of like the text field but it is enabled for user input. This input field can be used in new column and new measure fields so that once the dashboard is set up the user can easily (without filtering) explore the data by entering different values such as if you had an input box for unit price. Then if you change it all the charts of total sales, revenue, etc. Will update to reflect what would happen if you increase the price by 10%. This will enable people to quickly and easily interrogate the data

Thanks for the feedback! This is something we'd like to get to in the future but don't have any plans for at the moment. We suggest checking out the visual Text filter on AppSource in the interim.

RE: input fields
Would very much like to see this feature.
RE: input fields
This would be exceptionally useful. I am looking at relative weightings of data, and it would be brilliant to allow users to experiment with their own weightings - the input weightings on screen and the formulae use them to display alternative results.
RE: input fields
There should be variables that can be defined during refresh and the altered by users using sliders/input fields. And then various measures or other references to hardcoided variables can just reference $variableName
RE: input fields
Merge this idea with tabular write back
RE: input fields
Any update on this ?
RE: input fields
That would help to drive our business. Thanks in advance
RE: input fields
This feature request needs to get higher in the queue. Without a textbox styled free-form slicer, the what-if type of analysis becomes hard to implement. Example: a portfolio manager would wan to see what the returns might look like (based on historical performance of course) when a certain percentage of fund(s) is applied to the portfolio. I can't use a slider or a pre-populated list of percentages to enable such type of analysis.
RE: input fields
Any updates? This'll be very useful for what if analysis and Top X charts.
RE: input fields
Need this badly
RE: input fields
Desperately looking for this function too!
