The November update for visualizations took categorizing everything to the extreme.

IMO opinion the categories and subcategories might have gone a bit too granular. I tweak properties a lot and not it seems like I have to constantly expand everything to find something that was found with a quick scroll before. At the very least add the ability to expand everything from the ellipsis panel and not just the top category.

What would be really cool is too use some of the tricks they use in games to access settings. For example. you could create a shortcut to bring up a donut that was sectioned with the all the categories and as you hovered on a section the subcategories would pop up on an overlay that could be moved around and pinned while you made changes. Make it about 50-75 percent transparent. A quick press of CTRL+[key] could hide it.
* This would not eat up the real estate that the Visualizations pane takes up

I would do this for all panes actually. That way we can make changes to the report and see the true effect of the change in real time since the report would not have been resized to accommodate the panes on the right side.

I am really surprised this IDE didn't take some design from the Visual Studio IDE. Why can't we detach these panes and put them on a second display.
