If you have long names on a bar chart Y-Axis they get truncated. This is a problem if you have ones that start with something similar. Could we have a word wrap option on the format menu that takes advantage of the vertical space so the whole label can be shown.

Please add this formatting option. Space on the canvas is limited. Often there is no room to expand the chart to display all the legends fully. Yet there is so much white space in the chart object itself to fully show the legend - if the legend items could only be displayed over two lines.

Please add this. Currently find these bar charts unusable if even a single value is too long to fit the space.

I had received many requests from various customers to have the word wrap feature on the Legend in the visualization. Example, some of the name for the product category could be long, and it will get cut-off. Though the user can hover over the mouse pointer, or enlarge the visualization to view the full text of the legend, it is not very usual friendly.Since Microsoft have implement the word wraps for the title in Card visualization etc., I think it should extend to all the other text element to allow user to toggle on and off for the word wrap feature.

I am dumbfounded that this incredibly useful and basic functionality (word wrap!) has yet to be implemented and seems to have been languishing as a request since 2017.

There are at least another 4 ideas submitted regarding the same word wrap request for tree maps and other charts. The combined total of votes for this request is actually up to 50+ votes. Can the priority of this request be escalated please. Also, would be good if it was possible to link ideas together to combine votes in the Ideas Forum. Issue at the moment is that there are multiple ideas for the same issue that have been submitted with votes spread out across all of the ideas so there is not an accurate reflection of the total amount of votes an idea has.

This drives me mad. My stakeholders are constantly wanting this, the alternative is to create a lookup table with truncated values which is messy and a pain in the arse.

craaaaaazy this has been an issue since 2017. PowerBI's core function is a data visualisation tool; if i can't see the categories / labels in my axis what's the point??
