There must be an option to refresh data through schedule in power bi desktop application. Please add this important feature.

Need this, refresh in import takes a lot a long time. A schedule would be perfect, the refresh could be done overnight.

You must add an option in order to refresh data through schedule, in power bi desktop.

This not being available is literally the one floor in my new MI landscape, please make the automation of data refresh and upload onto the server from the desktop version available.

This idea has been posted almost 3yrs ago and I'm pretty sure it may be a great improvement for Power BI: it should be possible to set a timer but also to set the refresh every time the data set is modified/updated

Yes, being able to auto refresh in Power Bi Desktop would be extremely beneficial. And if possible, it would be nice to be able to refresh at whatever time interval, even if its every 10 seconds.

Come on ... why has this not been implemented yet? It would save me loads of time if my data could be refreshed ready for me coming into work.

Agree. All documentation points to scheduling a refresh in the web version however, my data is linked to a Sharepoint site and from what I am seeing in the web version, the updates do not reflect until I refresh and publish via the desktop application.

I will happily code this for you, i would take a very short amount of time, but would help massively! My refresh takes about 3.5h just to update with the latest data (because you cant just add that it seems to the table), would be great if this could be done before i need to look at my data!

The only reason I can see for Microsoft not implementing auto refresh on Desktop is because they want the user to pay for Service and 365.
