RE: Import a tabular model into powerpivot and/or power bi designer
In my interpretation of the Idea, this WAS NOT completed!
Can I connect and query a tabular model? Yes
Can I IMPORT the model from SSAS Tabular to Power Pivot or Power BI? No
PLEASE allow us to port models from 1 technology to another. This is HUGELY beneficial for branching and incremental development.
RE: Import a tabular model into powerpivot and/or power bi designer
Yeeee! That's great news! Please say thanks to the Power BI team!

Can this idea status be updated to "Closed/Completed" so all of us can get our votes back :-) Per the announcement here http://blogs.msdn.com/b/powerbi/archive/2015/08/20/announcing-the-power-bi-desktop-august-update.aspx
RE: Import a tabular model into powerpivot and/or power bi designer
W/O the ability to draw from analyzed data from Excel, I am much more likely to not make the leap to BI.. And just continue the charting i am doing from Excel pivots.
RE: Import a tabular model into powerpivot and/or power bi designer
Please add this feature ASAP
RE: Import a tabular model into powerpivot and/or power bi designer
Is this request talking about importing a SSAS Tabular (model / data) into Excel's Power Pivot and/or Power Bi Desktop OR something different? I thought that is what it was saying, but looking at posts it sounds like something different as well.
