It would be nice to have the option to export a table to an excel file, right now is only on CSV format but someone working on a different ecosystem and does not have Power Bi would need to rework the data and that does not make any point to have PowerBi

This is supported today in the Power BI service; however, it is not yet supported in Power BI Desktop. We'll consider this for a future release.

Hey Kim, could you please ask your mates to implement "export to XLSX file" method in REST API for a specific visual like "Table"? This is the only feature missing, we can't move our BI environment to MS platform because of that. I have a number of scheduled reports that are automatically extracted to XLSX or CSV file and then send to clients as an attached file. Please implement that feature if you want to earn more money Microsoft!!!

Echoing others here...dealbreaker if we don't get full featured EXCEL export (including matrix subtotals and totals). This is a real problem for us.

Our BI users desperately need WYSIWYG export into EXCEL. This is preventing our go-live with MS Power BI, and the conversion from OBIEE.

Must required feature in PBI desktop, it was a showstopper for us to move on.

Additionally, Csv export cannot be trusted in Germany. We have different separators. Point instead of comma and vice versa. Looks like this is confusing PBI Desktop Export.

Kim - can we get an update on this request? Neil Barrett explains it very well. See his comments. As an organization, we are contemplating switching to Tableau. Microsoft is falling behind.
