It should be good if we can set Drill Mode ON/OFF by DEFAULT instead of clicking manually on the arrow every time on report.

We have improved this by allowing the drill action to take place inside the tooltip. Marking as completed. We will do more updates here but the initial item has been addressed.

Agreed, with one caveout. There should be a setting for a tile in the dashboard which sets the behavior for click action on the tile. Does it
1. Drill down
2. Filter another visual on the same page
3. Hyperlink to a different page/dashboard (wishful)

RE: Drill Mode By Default

Here's why this is valuable . . .

Power BI is useful to share information with users who may not be highly sophisticated with either data or computers. They expect the application to behave in the same way each time they use it. If the last time they used a visual the drill down was enabled, they expect it to be enable the next time they use it. If it's not, they think the application is "broken" and they have less confidence in it. That's not good for them, it's not good for us as distributors of information, and it's not good for Microsoft. (Yeah, that last isn't my primary concern, but there MAY be people reading this who care more deeply about that.)

MUCH NEEDED! When customers use the reporting they want to get down to detail information to understand what is behind the reporting. This detail helps them ask the next questions needed to make decisions or take action without having to do an interim step of determining the data that makes up the numbers and report.

Yes this is real need. Because end user don't always know how to enable drill down.
There should be some option to do it.

RE: Drill Mode By Default

Hey! I created an idea which is sort of related to this called 'Drill navigation by mouse'. In my opinion a single mouse click should retain same functionality, but a double mouse click should be the same as drilling down. This will actually give you more flexibility and there would not be a real need for a 'default' mode.

If you agree, please vote for that idea! :)

RE: Drill Mode By Default

This is the number one feedback I currently receive from my end users. We really need a way to set a default for drill mode settings in a per-visual basis!

At least let the creator of the report set the drill mode!
