The idea would be that Custom Visuals can be downloaded to a local desktop "library". Then, each time you launch Power BI, all Custom Visuals would be available along with the Default Visuals. Having to import the Custom Visual each time you create a new .PBIX file is a pain!

Hi with the ability to personalize your visualization pane you can now pin any visuals from the marketplace to your viz pane and will show up side by side with the default visuals across all the reports when you create a new content or edit existing one. you need to be logged in. please see short video and description here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-june-2019-feature-summary/#personalizedVizPane the feature is still in preview and you should enable it in the desktop. Thanks for submitting your idea!

RE: Custom Visuals Enabled every time Power BI Desktop launches
Needs to be easy to reverse-- though. I don't want to be constantly reminded that "one time I tried out that one visual" by having it in my default UI or having errors that it can't find it, etc.
