Enable ArcGIS Maps to work in an Embed or Publically released link. Mapping data is often used in a public facing way, and enabling ArcGIS to function in this way would be extremely helpful when attempting to share maps with other's outside the Organization.

ArcGIS now supports Publish to Web - https://doc.arcgis.com/en/power-bi/design/publish-to-web.htm

RE: ArcGis - Embed / Public Share

Frankly I am shocked this even goes to a vote even more by the fact that requests for this functionality go back to 2016, that's two years to make a decision! Geodata based visuals are so powerful in business and healthcare these days it seems ridiculous not to be able to embed them and have them display in published dashboards. In addition nobody tells you this limitation up front so in my case I put a lot of time into creating an ArcGIS map with an overlay only to discover the visual doesn't show when I publish to web, very frustrating

Yes the inconsistency is ridiculous and very frustrating. I would vote for a general change in culture that simply says "If you can produce a visualisation locally with whatever version of power BI you have installed then that visualisation should be visible in any published dashboard" This simple rule fixes all future development as well, simples :)

RE: ArcGis - Embed / Public Share

A Power BI Report with an ArcGIS map can be shared using the Power BI web app's "Publish to Web" function, but the the ArcGIS visual does not show, instead there is an error message indicating that this is not available.

Every other visual that is part of Power BI's core visual list (as the ArcGIS Map now is) can be published in this way, as can any Custom Visual. The only exception I'm aware of is the ArcGIS Map.

When will this be resolved?

Habilitar esta funcionalidad es muy importante para la visualización de los indicadores de nuestra empresa en nuestra Intranet

RE: ArcGis - Embed / Public Share

Shame this has so few votes, but for those of us that depend upon geomapping this functionality is essential as it makes ESRI ArcGIS effectively a nice but useless toy

I wish it was possible to vote 1000 times.

As someone who utilizes US Census data in my work, ArcMap is the only way to display Block Group and Tract data in PBI. Since I work with organizations and individuals who may not have a PBI account, I share my reports by embedding them on a website.

I think the platform and ability to display interactive data are great, but not being able to have maps to display is painfully frustrating.

RE: ArcGis - Embed / Public Share

This is extremely important for us too. We require a better mapping visualisation than the built in PowerBI map reports which offer little flexibility, are extremely slow, and have very restrictive data limits (3500 plots) which effectively make them unsuitable for any large-scale reporting (what PBI is designed for!)

We would happily pay for an ArcGIS license to allow this functionality.
