I'd like to be able to move/rearrange my Calculated Columns in the Data View so they can be placed next to columns where they would be more relevant and make more sense.

It would be nice also if the Calculated Columns are shaded darker as in PowerPivot so we can easily distinguish them.

Also please enable Ctrl+A (Select ALL) in the Data View - currently it works only in the Query Editor.

This way we could Select ALL Data in the Data View where it would include the Calculated Columns.

RE: Moving/Rearranging Calculated Columns

Really would like to see this quality of life feature added. You can move columns in Power Query Editor, why not in Data View?

completely ridiculous this has been outstanding since Power BI first launched. i am fed up with all the effort doing into fancy visuals when this simple feature that was available in powerpivot makes managing you data so painful. How many votes do you need to for something to be actions!!!

As of June 2023, I still look for the function for reorganizing columns in data view which was raised 8 years ago.It seems like Microsoft has little care for customer experience and improving whatsoever, maybe it is because they are deemed irreplaceable.Anyone have an alternative data processing platform with more user friendly functionality?

Just also noting that this is tipically the sort of improvement useful for beginners. And beginners do not have the reflex to come here and vote, please realize that you're missing a whole part of your customer base on this platform and issues rating should be weighed against that parameter

RE: Moving/Rearranging Calculated Columns

This is bloody annoying and makes your product very difficult to access to non DAX experts / new users who want to use calculated columns to break their thinking down into stages. I get that's not the right way to do it, but give a chance to the learning curve to do it's job. What is this Microsoft, feels like some sort of PowerTrip ?

Jesus christ, I can't believe such a basic and LOGICAL functionality has not been implemented yet. Couldn't table view column order follow power query order? Or even alphabetical order like the right panel? Or any order at all, as long as I can find columns without screening the whole table everytime.
