If it is possible please provide the multiple columns sort . For example I want to sort the table visualization based on Priority and severity

This has been implemented for tables as of March 2020:

We're well aware, however, that more can be done to improve its discoverability--as well as to extend support for the feature to other visuals (like the matrix). Keep an eye out for future developments!

We need this! I need to show a list sorted by Work Cell then Date. Doing this with M in PowerQuery is slow and tedious. I wish this was a native feature to PowerBI.

RE: Add a multiple columns sort feature

How is this not available and this product is a BI tool? I just wasted a lot of time on a financial report only to find that I can not organize the data showing percentage changes in order by person. I think I will go back to sql query and just display the data since this is not available. It IS very frustrating.

Also, this may work for some cases. Concatenate your columns to where it assumes an order if you are able and then sort by that. Only problem is the ugly column you create concatenating a bunch of stuff shows on your visual.

RE: Add a multiple columns sort feature

We are converting reports from SSRS to Power BI. Our client wants the the same functionality, which is to have the reports sorted by multiple columns.

I'd like to sort by year and then by sales/time/counts etc. This is a function that is really needed.

RE: Add a multiple columns sort feature

This is basic. BusinessObjects automatically sorts by columns left to right, with options to sort by any column(s) and even custom sorting.

RE: Add a multiple columns sort feature

It's kind of silly that this is not already a thing since excel can easily do this. Please allow the option to sort on more than one column in a table or matrix.
