It would be very useful if Power BI allow to export charts directly to excel without lose the format. Exporting just like values with format.

RE: Export charts directly to excel
This is a must have. We are attempting to move away from a very old, slow offering from an old player in the BI space - but the inability to export totals is killing our uptake - especially for more complex aggregations that can't be replicated easily.
RE: Export charts directly to excel
This would be a wonderful addition!
RE: Export charts directly to excel
we have a Matrix with hierarchy State/District/county and 3 values columns. only for one value will be shows at all the levels, for the renaming 2 values columns user wants data at State level only. In the Source we do not have data at state level it's only Visual adding up.
But when I export Matrix does not include Sub-Totals and Grand-Totals at State level. that we means we end up with no data for Column2, Columns 3 values.
RE: Export charts directly to excel
I would love to export to Excel and keep the formatting and not have the data be placed in a table. I requires time every day when the reports are exported to fix or update the format. I would like the data to export with the comma's for thousands, dollar signs, percentages with the percent sign, etc.

Won't be able to make the switch from QlikView to Power BI until this problem is resolved, we have too many users who need to be able to export exactly what is seen in the matrix to avoid manually pivoting and calculating. In QlikView this is not a problem, can export any table and maintain proper formatting. Super disappointing.
RE: Export charts directly to excel
Need to be able to allow exporting of totals for tables etc
RE: Export charts directly to excel
Need the same
RE: Export charts directly to excel
Still a must for our users to move from excel to Power BI!
RE: Export charts directly to excel
Is this another "how hard can it be" issue?
Our (non technical) users are hugely frustrated that they don't get what they see on screen.
RE: Export charts directly to excel
100% agree with this. The conditional formatting capability within PowerBI is fantastic for analysing data, however when exporting to Excel this is lost...
