We would like to have multiple y-axis on a chart, more than 2

Administrator on 18 Oct 2022 00:56:21

Update 10/17: This is now in our upcoming roadmap and we will share more details in the coming months. Mo

Multiple y-axis for Cartesian charts is on our backlog. I don't have a timeline to share, but please keep voting. I'll update the idea once we have more information to share.

RE: Multiple Y-Axis on a chart

Definitely need dual axis for line charts. E.g. when plotting altitude and speed of an aircraft, both dimensions are best represented by lines, but they're completely different measures and absolute values, and therefore require a dual axis graph...

RE: Multiple Y-Axis on a chart

I only need to have two y-axis. If this is added, I would also like to be able to set properties for each axis separately.

RE: Multiple Y-Axis on a chart

I would amend this - any chart type that has an X or Y axis should allow a secondary axis. Which axis a measure appears on is simply an attribute of the measure, not a new visualization type. You should be able to click on the measure in Values, and there should be an option to show on secondary axis. Obviously, this would not be an option for a non-cartesian viz like a pie or treemap, but anything with an X or Y axis should allow for it.

RE: Multiple Y-Axis on a chart

I have four y-values: average, max, min, count. Ideally all four are presented by a bar, but with a different y dimension.

RE: Multiple Y-Axis on a chart

Add secondary axis to Line charts as new visuals, now only exists on the Line and Stacked column chart
Also two Y axes on the basic line chart

RE: Multiple Y-Axis on a chart

Very important for many studies e.g. studies by Tier or Term for Automotive financing

It would be very usefull for comparing Scenarios: e.g. Actual - Plan/Previous years

RE: Multiple Y-Axis on a chart

Can do this in Excel - why not PowerBI? Multiple Categories on Axis would be very useful, or else we would have to look at another vendor.

RE: Multiple Y-Axis on a chart

I agree with everyone here. I need at least one more axis so I can plot a percentage across usage values
