The recent addition of conditional formatting for values is wonderful. However, it would be great to have the ability format subtotals and totals, as the variation on those fields are often even more important to draw attention to.

RE: Conditional Formatting for Total and Subtotals in Matrices
I don't think it takes lot of time for Power bi Tech team to implement this.
This will be very important updates for matrix visual. Please get this added asap.

RE: Conditional Formatting for Total and Subtotals in Matrices
Agree with adding conditional formatting for Totals row/column. I have a table with conditional formatted colours, the alignment of totals and colours that would make the final table consistent with the other table formats.
RE: Conditional Formatting for Total and Subtotals in Matrices
As others have said this should be prioritised, it's one of those features that you expect to be there. Not having it makes it seem like a poor tool to the average user.
Additionally having it work at lower levels just makes the tables look strange. Most will be using this to highlight key information, in my case it's used to highlight positive and negative variances. Users can see at a glance if they're over or under budget at a monthly level but at the total level they need to look at the numbers and do a mental calculation (Income and expenditure are displayed as positive and negative respectively, so a negative variance doesn't always mean it's bad). The quicker a user can interpret data they can see the better and we should be able to do all we can to aid this. Visuals are supposed to communicate.
RE: Conditional Formatting for Total and Subtotals in Matrices
This is another one of these, far too common, missing features in PowerBI that makes us look silly in front of people who are used to working with or seeing Excel reports. The looks you get when you tell people "it can't do that"! Please fix :-)
RE: Conditional Formatting for Total and Subtotals in Matrices
Having conditional formatting on totals and subtotals is something looking forward for so long. if there is an option to include format or not to include format on totals is a nice add-on too.
RE: Conditional Formatting for Total and Subtotals in Matrices
Please allow Conditional Formatting for Total and Subtotals. As mentioned in previous comments, the financial reports do not look right when the subtotals/totals and the line items are formatted differently. The inconsistency is usually for very confusing for the readers. Please consider having this function added in the next Power BI update. Thank you.
RE: Conditional Formatting for Total and Subtotals in Matrices
Agree with others here that this goes back to 2016 and is pretty essential to the use of conditional formatting. Without the above implemented I simply cannot use this function.
Please move up the roadmap.
