The 'See Records' feature is a great feature but is not complete. It needs to be able to

1. Be used with all types of visuals (charts, tables, matrix, custom visuals)
2. Compatible with Calculated measures
3. Allow for feature to be turned on or off for each individual visual

RE: See Records feature improvements

Resurfacing prior comment about related idea that is missing, should be #4.

"See Records Column Setup". Need to be able to customize and save a default view for the column format, order, which are visible, etc. when a user clicks "See Records".

Please vote for this idea as well!

RE: See Records feature improvements

I need to be able to view the records using the Card visual and then limit the columns that are shown in the see records view. Please get this implemented soon.

RE: See Records feature improvements

Indeed, please allow for specification of the "see records" feature per visualization (you may do a default), and remember the specification.

RE: See Records feature improvements

Please add ability to select the columns displayed by "See Records" and save the selection so next time user doesn't have to start from the beginning.

RE: See Records feature improvements

I cannot understand what is driving the order of the columns as they appear in the report? The data table has my preferred column first, the query, the field list and yet the report moves column 1 to about column 9 and it requires scrolling to be visible on screen! AHHH

RE: See Records feature improvements

As other PBI gaps continue to be closed and new features are released, this idea and related comments/ideas is a glaring miss, especially with customizing what fields are there and are saved. Without the ability to customize and save how the "see records" report appears, field titles, order of fields, etc. the feature is not useful and appears incomplete.

All voters, please vote for the below idea as well as it has much support and covers the customize fields scenarios mentioned in many comments below, but not in the title/description of this idea.

RE: See Records feature improvements

This continues to frustrate me and is functionality readily available in Tableau and other alternatives. It really limits the degree to which I can use this reporting, and I'm not going to create two versions of each report...so I'll probably use something else. Each of these suggestions 1-3 is much needed and should be included. In demos and RFPs, the ability to drill down and see records was advertised and bragged about...with no mention of these limitations.

RE: See Records feature improvements

Agree with most of the other posters about #3. I work for government and can only release aggregated data. Not being able to turn off see records severely limits the usability of PowerBI for me.
