I just visited releaseplans.microsoft.com and wondered if you'd ever thought about having an engaging video to explain what you do?
We have produced over 500 videos to date and work with both non-animated and animated formats:

Beneficial from what perspective? The additional tables shouldn't slow anything down, since semantic models can only be loaded via direct connection, no imported.

Best solution for this is to use a central date table and connect all the individual tables to it.
