The essence of this idea is to explore the possibility of having a fine-grained Build permission wherein this permission can be provisioned on the semantic model without allowing the users to view the hidden fields. As a result of this, users would be able to continue building reports on top of the underlying data except for the hidden fields which continue to remain hidden.

We have an external tool called Data Vizioner to identify unused columns and measures, but it would be great to have an inbuilt feature in Power BI.

I just remembered this idea and read you reply which I obviously missed.To use a detour is is a workaround which are using up to now but this is not what I thought about.I want to see nested lp directly on the screen.Or is it possible to do this right now?best regardsMatthias

Hi,it is surprising that Microsoft did not consider including this as part of standard functionality in Business Central. Item charges can make up a significant element of landed cost of inventory and currently users are unable to recognise the expected cost of item charges in BC. It is therefore impossible to establish accurate selling prices as inventory is carried at inaccurate values up to the point when all related cost such as freight, duty, clearance and others are invoiced. This is particularly important when there is a large timing gap between the receipt of goods and the receipt of purchase invoices for all aforementioned costs.
