This feature would be a significant enhancement to our development workflow and greatly expand the possibilities within Power BI.Our team heavily relies on modifying PBIP files programmatically with Python to generate reports. However, we are currently forced to open these files manually to save them in a different format, which is both time-consuming and inefficient. In 2024, this manual process feels outdated. Implementing this feature would not only streamline our workflow but also save us a tremendous amount of time and effort.
Support for git for T-SQL Notebooks would be great to have.
Use cases it would help with:1) Enabling a work-around for using git for organizations that don't use GitHub and Azure DevOps. Probably better to solve it in a different way than a work-around though.2) Editing pipelines programmatically, making it easier to deploy to different environments across tenants.
It is 2024 and this was requested in 2016 and it is so basic that it doesn't make sense why it was not there in the first place.
Hello,i push my vote.
If I could give this idea multiple votes, I would. The functionality provided now ('Single select = On' guarantees one item will always be selected in the slicer) is neither helpful nor intuitive. What if the requirement is to allow only one slicer item to be selected but that it's optional for the selection to occur? I know of no way to meet such a requirement. Instead, in the current version, all slicers on the dashboard/report are automatically filtered by this one Single Select slicer as soon as it is opened without the end user making a choice!Whether a solution is enhancing existing functionality as mentioned first by Shawn (e.g., provide a button selection in the Single select slicer that states "None selected"), adding a sub-option underneath 'Single select = On' that enables such functionality, adding another control as suggested (not sure that's necessary unless developers cannot code a solution without doing this), or another option -- please get input from the user community and implement a solution for this as soon as possible.
Yes, this feature is needed and is like bringing Power BI to year 2024.....one of the basic feature that it must have. For me it is tremendously useful.
