We want Table view (familiar from Power BI Desktop) to be available also when we open a semantic model in the web browser.   The DAX Query View doesn't replace the easy-to-use Table View.   We need the Table View also when working with semantic models in the web browser.   This is because the GUI-based filtering and search functionality in Table View is super easy to use. It would be beneficial to incorporate features from Pivot tables that allow for the expansion and collapse of columns and hierarchical column groups within tabular visuals. In the new card visual, details labels support both a sentence and tabular view. The tabular view is I believe intended to show details and their reference labels in a tabular layout, however the current configuration is primitive and doesn't seem to support the common use-case of values + numerical labels.    The current configuration uses a "Value %" slider, when this is set to minimum it shows both labels and values, however the values are far too close to the labels, leaving an empty area that looks out of place.     When this is set to a higher value like below, the values show on the right as expected, but the labels are truncated with "...".   What I'd like to be able to achieve is something like below that lets me have labels and values, like this mockup from Paint. With the current layout, I can't seem to get this configuration showing labels left, values as numerical columns on the right.   In my example both the details values and reference labels are numbers, however in a real use-case the reference labels (the second numerical column) would be +- change from a previous value. ... Currently, exporting a Power BI report to a file using the exportToFile API is not supported for Premium Per User (PPU) licenses .This limitation is causing significant inconvenience for users who rely on PPU for their reporting needs. Currently, the Fabric Data Factory Invoke Pipeline task uses the user's credentials who saved the pipeline to then authenticate to the Azure Data Factory to execute the ADF pipeline.  When that user's password is modified, the token expires and the Fabric Data Factory pipeline must be modified and saved for the Invoke Pipeline tasks to begin working again.   I would like to suggest that there be an option in the Invoke Pipeline Task to use the Fabric Workspace Identity, or specify a Service Principal for authentication to ADF.   Without this change, production Data Factory Pipelines will fail to execute after the owner changes their password. ... I want to be able to edit a Direct Lake semantic model and Power BI report at the same time, in the same instance of Power BI desktop. Similar to the default behavior when creating an import mode report.   With Direct Lake, we don't have a report view when editing a semantic model. Instead, we need to create a thin report.   Problems with thin reports are:   - whenever a measure changes name in the semantic model, the report breaks  - whenever a measure changes its base table, the report breaks - etc.   Working with a semantic model and a report in the same instance of Power BI Desktop is much more pleasant and a much smoother experience, because the measure names automatically get updated in the report when a change is made in the semantic model.   Particularly when developing a report, where changes are frequently made (we work agile), this would be a huge benefit.   Currently, this is a reason for me to use Import Mode instead of Direct Lake mode.   Alternatively: make the child reports (thin reports) reference the lineage tag of a measure, so that the thin report won't break even if the measure name changes. ... In Fabric Pipelines, we currently only have access to the workspace Id through system variables, but not the Workspace Name. This creates a challenge when we want to send notifications via email or Microsoft Teams that include a user-friendly workspace name. To work around this, we’re currently using Notebooks to fetch the Workspace Name (using the Workspace ID) and store it in a metadata database or other store. However, this approach adds unnecessary complexity and isn't ideal for managing at scale. It would be much more efficient if workspace Name were available directly as a system variable in Pipelines. This feature would help streamline logging, alerting, and team notifications without needing additional Notebook steps or metadata lookups.
